The
thirty seventh 2010 show was held at the Lomond Centre, Glenrothes, Fife on 3rd July
2010, adhering to the rules of the GCCF.
The show was for Siamese, Balinese
and Orientals. We also welcomed Household pets
who can win the Royal Canin 'Scottish
Challenge'. Members had the opportunity to win
one of our splendid Club trophies. Why not join
our Club too? Please refer
to the Membership page for more information.
The
Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) put on
different kinds of cat shows each year. It
caters for all cats and cat owners - from breeders who are
owned by cats with pedigrees to loved household
pets. The key thing about a cat show is that it
brings cats and cat lovers together.
Modern cat
shows started in London in 1871 and now more
than a thousand compete in GCCF's annual Supreme
Cat Show.

Cats
are vetted in to make sure they are fit for show
from 8am and judging starts about 10am. People
are invited in after 12pm to admire the cats,
speak to exhibitors, see cats that they have
never seen before, share in a bit of retail
therapy at stalls and just generally enjoy a
social family day out.
So, even if you haven't entered your beloved cat
into the competition, attending a cat show is a
fun, unique day out for all ages, where you can
see beautiful cats of different breeds and learn
more about cats in general.

Show
support as well as table help and stewarding on
the day would be
very much appreciated. Please contact us if you
are interesting in learning more or being
involved.
