When Claire phoned to tell
me that her Mum was finally
at rest, last Friday, I
realised
that the Siamese Cats had
lost a great friend.
Judith initially spoke to me
last October with a view to
re-homing two cats because
she
had not been too well- the
re-homing went ahead and
very shortly after that
Judith told me that she had
Ovarian cancer, but was
determined to beat it.
Knowing Judith as I did,
I really thought she would.
She was my voice for many
years at committee welfare
and I used to plead with her
To take dictation over the
phone because I had
forgotten there was a report
due.
Every year at the Scottish,
she would remind me that my
subs. were due along with
many others.
Although her husband was an
invalid latterly, I never
heard Judith complaining.
She loved her garden and her
cats, and was immensely
proud of her family who will
miss her sorely.
Often outspoken, Judith
cared for only one thing –
the welfare of her beloved
breed.
